Sessions

As I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, I offer a free 20-30 minute phone consultation. This provides you the opportunity to ask any questions and to see if we would feel comfortable working together.

Sessions are normally 50 minutes in duration for both individuals and couples. I also offer 75 minutes to couples who want sessions of longer duration. The overall number of sessions will depend on what you wish to explore and the pace at which you feel comfortable to work. It is your choice how many sessions you book and we can review this together at any time. It is my experience that meeting weekly is most beneficial, at least for an initial period of time. Ideally sessions are arranged on a regular day and time. This gives a sense of structure and aids the therapeutic process. Sometimes life does necessitate a more flexible approach to appointment planning though! When we meet we can talk through what feels right for you and we can review these arrangements at any time.

Fees

Fees are payable at the beginning of each session.

Counselling sessions at my private practice in Sloane Square, London:

The fee for each session is £80 for individuals.
The fee for each session is £100 for couples (£150 for extended sessions)

The practice is a 5 minute walk from Sloane Square Underground. There are parking meters and it is easily accessible by public transport.

Counselling sessions at my private practice in Haslemere, Surrey:

The fee for each session is £55 for individuals
The fee for each session is £70 for couples (£105 for extended sessions)

There is free parking available at the Clinic, and it is easily accessible by public transport.

Cancellations and missed sessions

For therapy to have a positive outcome it is very important to attend regularly. In order to allow me to reserve a regular slot at the same time and day in my diary for the duration of your therapy, any sessions missed or cancelled by you will have to be paid for in full. If it is possible, I will always try to find an alternative time in that week.
